Guidelines for Submitting Work to Artists of OurSausalito.com

We have revised these guidelines extensively since founding the site, so if you've read an earlier version there are lots of major changes below.
 
OurSausalito.com features art and photographs on our front page that tie to our theme of "Everything about Sausalito, and only about Sausalito."  Art works may already jhave been published elsewhere, but you must own the rights to the images you submit to us.  We acquire no rights or interest in the images we publish apart from your granting us the right to place them on our website.  Copyright remains with you as the rights holder.  Submitting an image to us for use on the site represents you granting us permission to put it on an OurSausalito.com page.
 
We cannot pay for images we use (we're a pre-funding startup), but do offer on-screen credit for artists and a link to your website.  Images and links from prior front-page images are also placed on the "Artists of OurSausalito.com" page unless you ask us not to include you.
 
We will consider any image from any artist, but we have a set of priorities that define our choices.

 *  We give top priority to artists who live or work in Sausalito.  We especially like displaying images of Sausalito, but for local artists will consider any subject or theme.  Sculptures and other non-traditional media may be submitted in the form of photographs which we will show on-screen, and such submissions are welcome.
 
*  For non-Sausalito artists, an image that shows Sausalito or somehow ties to Sausalito is most likely to be accepted.  
 
*  An artist who has submitted a work that we used on the site may submit additional works, but we give priority to first-time submissions.

Images may be submitted via email to this address.  File sizes should be kept as small as possible to speed screen loads, and we may adapt large images to meet website hosting requirements.  We will attempt to respond as quickly as possible to all submissions.  There may be a delay between our acceptance of an image and its publication on the site.
