Fast Forward SummaryTM: Salsalito Taco Shop is a Mexican restaurant with a sunny deck just north of downtown Sausalito. If you like Mexican food it's a great place to stop if you're biking through town and want to stop somewhere laid back where you can feel comfortable. The food is authentic and neither over-spiced nor blanded-out. Pricing here is unusual and sometimes is an unpleasant surprise for guests: Chips are not free, they're $3.00 a basket ($5.00 with salsa), and some sauces cost extra. You have to pay extra to get cheese in your tacos, and watch the asterisks in the menu to make sure that rice and beans are included in the price of your order.
