Annual Sausalito Festivals and Season-Long Events
First Wednesday of Each Month, Year-Round — Wednesday Night Live in Sausalito Music, art and fun, rotating between downtown Sausalito and a few blocks north around Caledonia St.
First Saturday of Each Month, Year-Round — Biscotti and Cars Classic Car event, which draws car enthusiasts for all over Northern California.
June – September, 2023 — Jazz and Blues by the Bay, held each Friday evening near the ferry pier.
June – August, 2023 — Concerts for Kids at Robin Sweeny Park [Normally held once each month on Saturday mornings during the summer. Cancelled for 2022 due to pandemic uncertainties, and no dates yet set for 2023]
Labor Day — The Sausalito Art Festival is not yet back in operation after the pandemic.
Major Events in Sausalito (More 2023 updates expected shortly!)
January 14-29, 2023 — Jewels of the Playa Exhibit, Reception (Jan. 14), Panel (Jan. 18) — If you’ve never seen Burning Man — or if you can’t wait to go to the Playa next year — this exhibit at the Sausalito Center for the Arts is for you. It’s well worth the trip… and, unlike the Playa, no after-party scrubbing is required!
February 4, 2023 — Sausalito’s Souper Bowl, the day before that other super something, where several city blocks of restaurants compete for your vote and one ticket lets you try every one of them!
February 16 – March 19, 2023 — February 16 is the Grand Opening of the Spotlight Sausalito: Its Artistic Past And Present Exhibit at the Sausalito Center for the Arts.
February 24, 2023 — Sausalito Herring Festival, offering you a choice of an in-person event with a gourmet dinner or free attendance via Zoom.
February 25, March 1 and March 9, 2023 — Lectures from local artists as part of the Spotlight Sausalito: Its Artistic Past And Present Exhibit at the Sausalito Center for the Arts.
April 1, 2023 — Spring Sausalito City-Wide Yard Sale in the MLK School parking lot.
April 8, 2023 — Sausalito Easter Parade and Egg Hunt down Caledonia St. to Dunphy Park.
June 19, 2023 — Juneteenth Festival in Marin City, celebrating the emancipation of the last African American slaves in the United States
July 4, 2023 — Sausalito Fireworks and 4th of July Parade and Picnic
August, 2023 — Galilee Harbor 2023 Community Maritime Day
August, 2023 — Arias in the Afternoon in Gabrielson Park
September, 2023 — Annual Sausalito Chili Cook-off
TBD, 2023 — Annual Sausalito Floating Homes Tour, organized by the Floating Homes Aassociation. This is the only way to physically visit a series of architectural gems and historic vessels in our Sausalito houseboat community. (Waiting to see how the event will evolve since the worst pandemic issues have passed)
October, 2023 — Sausalito Fall City-Wide Yard Sale
October 6-8, 2023 — Fleet Week Blue Angels Air Shows and Parade of Ships under the Golden Gate Bridge (For special parking information, please click here.)
October 31, 2023 — Sausalito Halloween Parade

Ongoing Sausalito Events
Sausalito Historical Society: Exhibit Room is open Wednesdays and Saturdays from 10:00 AM until 1:00 PM on the 2nd Floor of the Sausalito City Hall, 420 Litho Street.
The Historic WWII Marinship Exhibit at the Bay Model is open Tuesday through Friday from 9:00 AM — 4:00 PM and Saturdays and Sundays from 10:00 Am — 5:00 PM. You’ll see photos and artifacts that were designed by the US Army Corps and Sausalito Historical Society to tell the story of the Marinship shipyard during WWII. 2100 Bridgeway. 415-332-3871.
Additional Marinship historical photos and information are displayed in the front lobby of the building at 10 Liberty Ship Way in Sausalito, one block south of the Bay Model.
Ice House Information Center and Historical Exhibition holds Sausalito history, culture, and gifts. Open every day from 11:30 AM — 4:00 PM. 780 Bridgeway. 415-332-0505. (Currently closed for renovation)
