Adam Sandler & Seth Rogen want to make you late picking up the kids!
OK, we know that's not fair but it just feels so good to write ridiculous tabloid headlines!
Kidding aside, here's the word about this week's traffic problems caused by a movie shooting on Bridgeway. Adam Sandler and Seth Rogen are indeed here in Sausalito shooting a film. They have been (oh, no!) really nice to people who've been coming up to them on the street -- check out the comments box at the bottom of this post for more eyewitness details.
The timing suggests the movie may be "Funny People" although IMDB lists it as already being in post-production.
The best scoop we've seen was reported to Marin filmmaker and guitar teacher Keith Moore by his brother Jamison. It comes complete with the obligatory Rude Assistant Director moment, but Jamison has added more details in a comment below to give the story context.
Also on the web: A clean-shaven Rogen sighting, which apparently required four hours of stalking before a frontal attack in Starbucks on Princess St.
Two visitors who came through Sausalito on a three-month around-the-world trip (wow...) very matter-of-factly reported seeing Sandler and Rogen, I guess if you're on a three-month around-the-world trip seeing movie stars in the street is all just part of the experience.
When Jamison Moore (who got yelled at for no reason by the assistant director) gets invited to the movie's premiere we're all gonna be so jealous!

Thanks, Keith, for posting this story on your site and for coming by here. There was a lot of talk around town, but your story was what started to pull it all together.

Im the little brother that was in sausalito that morning. I work construction on a house at the end of bridgeway right where the road turns right and goes up the hill. Apparently the unfinished house ruined the shot they were going for so the producer "i think" decided to yell some words and gestures my direction as if it was my fault the house was being remolded. Definetly one of the top 10 most random things i've seen in my life. I did get to say hi to Seth Rogen and Adam Sandler so I wasnt to pissed off.

Thanks, Jamison, for checking in with us.
I'm actually not surprised that it was a production guy hassling you but that Sandler and Rogen were cool. I heard a friend-of-a-friend story once about a little girl who got very sick. The baby-sitter panicked and ran to a neighbor's house... the neighbor was Adam Sandler. He rushed the girl to a hospital, paid for everything when they hassled about the insurance, and stayed there until the family came home and got down to the hospital to be with her.
So we may enjoy complaining about Adam Sandler messing up traffic, but I think he's probably a good guy.
Maybe he should buy that house you're working on!
Thanks again for coming by. We really enjoyed hearing your story, and we wish you the very best during this weird time.
