The work of Sausalito Photographer and Digital Artist Sabine Stetson covers a wide palette of emotions. Born in Germany and a Sausalito resident for over 30 years, Sabine has engaged in passionate relationships with graphic design, journalism and digital photography. Her current work ranges from free-lance journalism assignments to fine art pieces. More images of Sausalito are here, and you can order prints at the Fine Art America website.
Victoria Colella of Sausalito works from the heart of the Sausalito waterfront inside the old WWII shipyard, and shares her perspectives with visitors through her Sausalito Wooden Boat Tour. Although she loves painting in the folk art style shown here, the new directional signs in the hallways of Sausalito City Hall were also her creation at Valhalla Signworks. She originally studied at the Art Center College of Design in Los Angeles.
Sausalito Artist Barry Peterson says, "It is hard to describe the thing that binds together the work of an artist, architect and printmaker." His training includes ceramics, painting, drawings, marine biology, botany, physics, and architecture. He was an apprentice architect at Frank Lloyd Wright’s Taliesin / Taliesin West, studied drawing under Michael Markowitz and has just finished a printmaking workshop on photogravure at Crown Point Press in SF.
"Making Magic", by Claudia Cohen, whose work has been shown widely in the US and Europe. She sculpts in ceramics and bronze, and critics have labeled her work comic surrealism. Claudia studied at The School of The Museum of Fine Arts in Boston, then moved West to open her studio in Sausalito. At the Sausalito Art Festival she's in Space 733.
"Sausalito Morning Bay Life" by Dana Draper. He creates works in a variety of media, including copper art, figure and figurative watercolors and scrolls, and has won the watercolor competition at the prestigious Sausalito Art Festival. Looking at this image we can see that the eye of the painter was at work. You can read more about Dana Draper here.
