Sausalito Music Fans: We've published our Guide to the 2011 Sausalito Art Festival, with links to the music schedule and to the performers!
Summer Jazz and Blues by the Bay concerts are held each Friday night at Gabrielson Park in downtown Sausalito from June through the end of August from 6:30 PM to 8:00 PM. These concerts are free of charge for the residents of Sausalito (thanks to generous local sponsors).
Put on by the Sausalito Parks and Recreation Dept., the concerts feature local jazz and blues performers. Last year Gabrielson Park was upgraded with a new lawn Sponsors: the Sausalito Rotary Club and other improvements that made concerts in the park more convenient.
Food and beverages are sold on site by local non-profit groups, or you can bring your own or shop at local stores, deli's and restaurants.
For Sausalito residents, season passes with reserved tables cost $500 for 13 weeks, and are allocated on a first come, first served basis. Non-Residents pay $600 for 13 weeks.
A limited number of reserved tables are made available by the City each week on a one-time basis, only by advance reservation. The table and 6 chairs are $50, with up to two additional chairs available per table for $6 each. For many weeks the tables are sold out well in advance. You can call the Sausalito Recreation office for more information or to make a reservation at 415-289-4152.
Concerts are recorded and rebroadcast each week on Radio Sausalito on AM1610, which can also be accessed online and via podcast.
