Larkspur Ferry Schedule & Fares 2025 (With Jan. Updates)

February 19, 2025 Rider Alert: Update: Larkspur sailings of the Golden Gate Ferry have restarted as of the 11:50 AM sailing.  Some February 19, 2025 morning sailings prior to 11:50 were converted to bus trips leaving from the Larkspur Ferry parking lot due to a broken gangplank hydraulic hose that spilled about 50 gallons of hydraulic oil into the Bay. Booms have been deployed to stop the oil from spreading until it can be recovered.

Insiders Tip: On busy commute days the regular parking lot can fill up. The auxiliary lot across the street has space, but allow extra time for the longer walk.

Insiders Tip: The SmartConnect Shuttle bus connects the Larkspur SMART train station with the Ferry terminal, saving a 10-minute up-and-down walk. Those with mobility challenges have priority, but all can ride.

Larkspur Ferry Price Levels for Tickets

Ferry tickets are now sold through ticket machines at the Ferry Building in San Francisco and at the Larkspur Ferry Terminal.

The Larkspur Ferry Ticket machines accept cash and coins up to a limit of $20 bills, as well as debit cards and credit cards (Visa, MasterCard, and Discover). The machines operate during the same hours that the ferries are running, and can also be used to add value to your existing Clipper Card.

As of July 1, 2024, Golden Gate Ferry’s Larkspur Ferry price levels for tickets are:

Adults                                             $14.00 ($28.00 round trip)

with Clipper Card                        $9.00 ($18.00 round trip)  (Almost half off!)

with Clipper START Card        $4.50 ($9.00 round trip)  — Pilot program for low-income riders

Seniors / Disabled / Medicare    $7.00  ($14.00 round trip) as of July 1, 2023

Kids Ages 5-18                            $7.00  ($14.00 round trip) as of July 1, 2023

Kids 4 and Under                          Free with paid adult, Max. 2 per adult.

If you ride the Ferry frequently you can buy a Clipper Card, which gives you large discounts on Larkspur Ferry price levels.  The monthly Ferry passes and Ferry ticket books that many of us grew up with that lowered Larkspur ferry price levels were discontinued by the Golden Gate Bridge District years ago.

The Golden Gate Ferry voyages to San Francisco Giants games connect AT&T Park and the Larkspur ferry terminal.
