Sausalito Woman's Club Estate Sale April 4 at Spinnaker
"By The Sea" is the theme of this year's estate sale by the Sausalito Woman's Club, which will take place on Saturday, April 4 at the Spinnaker Restaurant from 7:30am to 2:00 pm.
Admission is $25 for people who want the best selection and arrive between 7:30 AM and 8:00 AM. The ticket price then drops to $10 for the remainder of the event, which wraps up at 2:00. No reservations are necessary.
The event is a benefit for the Sausalito Woman's Club Preservation Society, a 501(c)iii organization that works to preserve the beloved Julia Morgan Clubhouse, a Sausalito Landmark that is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. The Clubhouse is host to a wide array of community programs, including a Holiday open house, book groups, musical concerts, historical programs, and annual poetry evenings.
The Club's goal this year is to bring in even more money than the all-time peak at the event for 2001. The event will be divided into theme areas, including:
Art: Paintings, art books, posters
Asian: Kimonos, temple jars, screens, fans, cloisonné
Carpets and Fabrics: Handmade rugs, fabric rolls
Dining: Silver and crystal, Waterford and lace
Diva: Furs, hats, mannequins, designer gowns, Hermes scarves, jewelry from costume to designer to vintage, etc.
Garden: Pots, outdoor plates, straw hats and plants
Travel/Men: Steamer trunks, world globes, leather bags
The items have been gathered and organized by a small team of SWC members from Sausalito who acquire memorable pieces from the homes of the 300+ members of the Woman's Club, as well as friends of the organization.
