Day 4 of the construction for the largest outdoor Art Festival in the United States brought in the cherry-pickers, as crews prepared for some of the heavy lifting that will start next week. As you can see from the image above, they started by raising the Festival sign (seen fully restored on the ground yesterday) into place atop the ticket windows. They also installed the glass doors that link the ticket windows and are locked each night when the Festival closes.
The plastic sheets that turn the chain link fences at the edge of the Festival grounds into "walls" are also being installed, and more wood continues to be stockpiled for booth-building and other construction.
If you compare Day 1's photos and today's you'll see that the 2010 yellow colors on the front buildings and the Festival sign have now been replaced with a fresh coat of red paint.
