Marin Transit has announced that the Muir Woods Shuttle service, which normally begins in mid-March of each year, will be delayed for at least another four weeks. The cause of the delay is the continuing closure of Highway 1 between Muir Woods and Muir Beach.
CalTrans now predicts that Highway 1 will re-open somewhere around May 1 of this year after repairs to damage done by this year’s winter storms. You can track the projected opening date on the California State Department of Transportation map.
