Salsalito Taco Shop is a Mexican restaurant with a sunny deck just north of downtown Sausalito. If you like Mexican food it’s a great place to eat if you’re biking through town and want to stop somewhere laid back where you can feel comfortable. The food is authentic and neither over-spiced nor blanded-out.
Pricing here is sometimes is a surprise for guests: chips are not free, they’re $7.50 a basket with two salsas ($12.50 if you add guacamole) as of our last visit, and some sauces cost extra. You have to pay extra to get cheese in your tacos, and watch the notes in the menu to make sure that rice and beans are included in the price of your order.
