Golden Gate Transit and Marin Transit link Sausalito to San Francisco, Mill Valley, Corte Madera, Larkspur, Greenbrae, San Rafael, San Anselmo, Fairfax, West Marin, Ignacio, Novato, Petaluma, Rohnert Park and Santa Rosa, as well as other Sonoma County locations. There is also limited service to the East Bay in Richmond and El Cerrito.
Some buses serve different routes at different times, and not every route stops at every stop on every trip. Example: Routes 4, 70 and 80 go via Highway 101 and the Spencer Ave. stop on some runs and via downtown Sausalito on others.

Late night service to San Francisco after the ferries stop running: Late buses serve Mission and 1st St. in San Francisco, about five blocks from the Ferry Building. Routes 70 and 80 run as late as 11:55 PM from Bridgeway (near the Ferry Pier) at El Portal. Buses also run from SF to Sausalito until after midnight.

This information is available nowhere else online, and we had to go to every bus stop in Sausalito to verify it. (If you see this data elsewhere it's a copycat site.) We've organized the bus routes in two different ways, depending on how you like to research information:
1. A list and map of the Sausalito bus stops in sequence (both northbound and southbound), so you can see which stop is between which hubs. You can click on each stop to see a list of the routes that stop there, and then click on the route to see the current schedule. Some locations have both northbound and southbound stops, others are served in one direction only.
2. If you prefer to scan down a long list rather than click down to the right data, we have the same information below arranged as a stop-by stop list of all Sausalito and Marin City bus stops, with a link to the schedule for every bus route that stops there.
Insiders Tip: For smaller bus stops, the online schedules at the Marin Transit and Bridge District sites do NOT list every stop the bus will stop at, just major stops and hubs, due to space constraints. You can infer the time for intermediate stops based on the scheduled times when a bus will come to regular stops.

Note: There have periodically been robberies in the area around this hub, which is the second highest volume bus hub in Marin County.
