Taxi Service in Sausalito
There is a taxi stand downtown in Sausalito at the intersection of Anchor St. and Bridgeway on the 700 block of Bridgeway, across the street from Poggio. Cabs also sometimes wait across the street from Hotel Sausalito. Restaurants are usually happy to call a cab for you if you request it.
Taxi Fares
Taxi fares are comparable to those in most large American cities, and can vary greatly based on time of day and traffic. Getting anywhere in the city of Sausalito from the Sausalito Ferry pier is almost always going to cost less than $10, and we recommend using the ferry to get to Sausalito from San Francisco whenever possible.
Many services offer fixed rate prices to the airports. Very rough fare estimates for coming to Sausalito from San Francisco or Oakland in off-peak traffic hours are:
Union Square in San Francisco: $45 to $55 (not rush hour)
SFO San Franciso International Airport: $60 to $75 (not rush hour)
Oakland International Airport: $75 to $85 (not rush hour)

It's always good to call ahead for limos to compare rates for limos and town cars, which can vary day by day based on how busy they are.
