The Sausalito Yacht Club was founded in 1942 by a group of teen-agers (the oldest was only 16) who had signed on to care for the boats of many Bay Area tresidents after they entered military service with the US entry into World War II. Almost 70 years later the club has achieved greater size and stature, but continues its commitment to sponsoring boat races, youth sailing and community support.
Thde clubhouse is located adjacent to the Sausalito Ferry pier, between the Ferry and the Spinnaker Restaurant.
We have been guests of Members at SYC events. Their bar and restaurant serve excellent food and have great views, especially out on the patio.
