The Golden Gate Bridge District is revamping its Sausalito ferry schedule on June 10, changing the times for many sailings and adding a series of late afternoon ferries to handle the ever-increasing flow of visitors biking across the Golden Gate Bridge. Some commute time trips are also affected, moving earlier or later by a few minutes.
You can see both the new and old schedules here.
This schedule is planned to run until September 29, after which we'll see how the Fall schedule compares to 2012.
Combined with the usual summer schedule growth from Blue and Gold Fleet, which began mid-May, we are now at the highest level of sailings of the year. Our estimate is that overall capacty across both services is up about 15% from last summer, with that increase focused on the bike-centric late afternoon portions of the schedule.
