2025 Fleet Week Parking — Golden Gate Bridge & Sausalito

FS Fleet Week parking

Fleet Week Parking at Golden Gate Bridge & in Sausalito for Blue Angels & Parade of Ships

Click here for our special page on Fleet Week events visible from the Golden Gate Bridge, Sausalito and the Marin Headlands

Note: The information below is from 2024 and many of these events are annual. We’ll update with specifics for 2025 when information becomes available.

Fleet week traffic gets congested in any case, and when the Blue Angels perform at 3:00 PM each day traffic around the Golden Gate Bridge and in Fort Baker in southern Sausalito and the GGNRA is severely snarled. That makes the challenges of Fleet Weet parking near the Golden Game Bridge even more complex.

Here’s what you need to know about Fleet Week parking in the area (and there aren’t a lot of parking spots):

1.  For Fleet Week parking lots at the Golden Gate Bridge will be closed off by the Bridge District, and will only be accessible to buses, taxis etc. Our guide to Golden Gate Bridge parking is here.

Disabled Fleet Week Parking: The entire parking lot at Fort Point (below the southern end of the Golden Gate Bridge, inside the GGNRA) has been reserved for disabled parking. The video above was shot from Fort Point, directly below the bridge.

2.  Many roads in the GGNRA will have special traffic controls to protect drivers, bike riders and pedestrians, and some areas of the GGNRA will be closed to protect sensitive natural areas and historic buildings. This includes Satterlee Road in Fort Baker and Conzelman Road. in the Marin Headlands, one of the two main routes into the Marin Headlands and the site from which so many famous pictures of the Golden Gate Bridge were taken.

3.  Conzelman Road will be converted to a one way street with traffic only traveling east (from the ocean towards the Bay) each morning until at least one hour after the Blue Angels complete their air show. To enter the Marin Headlands area of the GGNRA during these hours use the 5-minute tunnel on Danes Road / Bunker Road, which will connect you to Fort Barry and Fort Cronkhite.

The Fleet Week parking areas along Conzelman Road are limited and will also fill up VERY early each day.  The GGNRA will close Conzelman to all traffic once its parking is filled to capacity. Traffic controls will remain in effect throughout the entire Fleet Week period of Blue Angels shows.

The Bridgeway Promenade in Sausalito will have views of some of the air show activities (especially the Blue Angels), although the focus is in San Francisco on the Marina Green. Click here for our guide to parking in Sausalito.

Note: Google Maps would not work properly to display the route described above, so we have a static screen shot below (copyright by Google) of the map of the loop through the Marin Headlands, followed by an interactive map showing just one part of the drive.
