Schedules for service to San Francisco from the largest and busiest Marin ferry terminal, with links to which sailings connect to the free Ferry Shuttle buses. On weekdays Larkspur offers the most sailings, the earliest morning trip and the latest trip at night, but it serves only the Ferry Building, not the Pier 39/Pier 41 terminal at Fisherman’s Wharf. On weekends, however, Sausalito offers the most options for going to San Francisco and there a re very few trips from Larkspur.
Larkspur also has its own large parking lot, which charges a fee for parking on weekdays but is free on weekends. This lot fills up very early on weekday mornings, however, which is another reason to take the free Ferry Shuttle bus to the Larkspur terminal.
Complete Weekday and Weekend & Holiday Schedules for both routes to San Francisco. Sausalito is served by both the Golden Gate ferries to the Ferry Building and by the Blue and Gold Fleet, with its terminal at Pier 39/Pier 41 in Fisherman’s Wharf in San Francisco. Starting in March and continuing through October many additional sailings are added to the schedule to accommodate the large number of visitors who flock to Sausalito. Many visitors rent bikes in The City, ride across the Golden Gate Bridge and then bring their bikes on board the Sausalito Ferry to return to San Francisco.
Many excellent restaurants — not to mention spectacular views of the Bay and San Francisco — are within walking distance of the Sausalito ferry pier.

Tiburon has now joined Sausalito in offering connections to both The Ferry Building and Fisherman’s Wharf, and also offers additional sailings during the busy summer months. It’s also one of the two jumping-off points for ferries to Angel Island State Park (see link below).
Golden Gate Ferry offers weekday commuter service to the Ferry Building, but no weekend service. Blue and Gold Fleet offers some weekday sailings (and adds more during the summer months for the visitor season), and also offers weekend service to Pier 39/41 in Fisherman’s Wharf.
