We are sorry to report that The Holiday Shoppe has closed, another victim of the pandemic’s economic impact.

Sausalito’s Year-Round Christmas Store

I like coming here, and I don’t care what anyone else says about it!
It’s one of those issues where best friends, siblings and couples can all have very different opinions: Is a year-round Christmas store a good thing or a symbol of the excessive commercialization of the holiday?
I’m usually one of those people who complains about hearing Christmas music in October, but if we’re walking by on a nice springtime afternoon I like popping in here and looking around. We buy a couple of new Holiday items here each year, but it’s hard to guess whether those purchases will come in April or December.
Why does a skeptic like me like The Holiday Shoppe? They have many higher quality items, not just an array of cheap pieces with “Sausalito” stenciled on them. They have more different breeds of dogs on their Christmas Tree ornaments than I’ve seen anywhere else. They have fabulous contraptions that I’ve never seen before, And the people who work here are nice.
