Fast Forward SummaryTM: One of the friendliest restaurants in town on many evenings, Aurora has been a pleasant new surprise as an unannounced member of the "new kids" restaurant rush of 2011 in Sausalito. Unlike some of its fellow newcomers whose arrival was announced long before they opened, Aurora quietly took over the building that previously housed Cacciucco near the southern edge of Sausalito. The Italian menu includes items you won't find all over town. The staff have worked at building relationships with the community, and we're particular fans of their different steak specials and the lightly breaded calamari steak. Aurora is the new correct answer to the question: "What's the first restaurant you reach inside Sausalito if you bike across the Golden Gate Bridge en route to the Ferry or if you walk from the Golden Gate Bridge to Sausalito?"
They also win this year's Sausalito award for best restaurant video soundtrack for the piece below, which they produced.
