What are the best restaurants in Sausalito? 

Winter, 2013 -- Each quarter we survey a wide range of blogs, travel sites, online forums and ratings sites, then create this ranking of Sausalito restaurants that serve dinner.  Most also serve lunch, and we use the headline above to differentiate from daytime-only establishments.   You can click to see How to Read our Restaurant Charts.  If scores are similar the rankings are less critical: many excellent places are closely ranked with just a small difference in their scores.

It might be more helpful to break-out the sea lion rankings by separating out the quality of the food, service, and atmosphere with an additional comment for view or no view. I was disappointed to see that my favorite which has only decent service and no view, but some of the best italian food that I have had anywhere only received 7 sea lions. The service that we receive is we we get at the better restaurants in Rome (fair to good depending on who is working) and they make fewer errors and the flavor of the food is better and more authentic than the three top ranked italian restaurants on this scale; lumping everything together does not give the best picture of what is going on.

CB, this is something we've considered doing, and may happen one day. When we argue about it within the team the issue comes down to one of complexity. If we add those additional details do we make the site more informative or less accessible? Your point of view is shared by some members of our team.
