Hotel Sausalito
The Hotel Sausalito is located in a renovated historic 1915 building, and has served as a hotel for almost a century. One room with a rounded tower-style window-nook projects directly out over the sidewalk on the second floor facing Bridgeway across the street from Viña del Mar Park, which is as close to the heart of Sausalito as you can get.
The hotel is located at the corner of Bridgeway and El Portal, right in the middle of downtown Sausalito and just steps away from the Sausalito ferry pier and from the downtown bus stops. This puts you within walking distance of most Sausalito attractions listed on this site.
Something else that people should know about Hotel Sausalito? Any truth to the rumor that “Hotel Sausalito” was the original title of the classic Eagles’ song, but their recording label changed it to “Hotel California” in a quest for greater sales?
