Fast Forward SummaryTM: How cool is Philz Coffee? So cool that Zagat named it one of the ten coolest Indie Coffee places in the San Francisco Bay Area. So cool that they were selected as the on-campus inside-the-barricades coffee shop for Facebook's corporate headquarters. So cool that after the Sausalito City Council rejected the application of Peet's Coffee to open a shop here (on the site now occupied by Bar Bocce) because Peet's was too corporate and a big chain, they approved Philz Coffee because they are a small chain and, well, they're cool. They opened at the beginning of August, 2012 in the long-vacant spot next door to the new Fire Station, a storefront previously occupied by the Cork Enoteca wine bar and shop. By Winter of 2013 they had two OurSausalito.com dining survey trophies on this page, which we think is their coolest accolade of all!

Answer: With over 1,000 pages of reference material about Sausalito we have to use a few tricks to make the online system we use keep track of everything and load pages quickly. It's a little weird, but it turns out that time-stamping our restaurant pages this way actually speeds things up for our readers compared to just giving the page a name. Thanks for asking!.
