Ultra Last Minute Hotel Rooms and Prices for the Sausalito Art Festival
You love to live dangerously, never committing till the very last minute! Well, danger in this case means either a taxi ride (or long walk) to the Festival, or a very expensive room. Here's a partial listing of places still available for visitors to stay as of midnight September 2, 2009:
In Sausalito (all but Cavallo Point Lodge are in downtown Sausalito):
Casa Madrona: Limited rooms available for night of Sept. 4 only at $299 per night.
Cavallo Point: Rooms still available for the entire weekend, starting at $310 per night.
Gables Inn: Rooms available Sept. 4 only, starting at $375 per night.
Hotel Sausalito: No rooms available.
Inn Above Tide: Rooms available Sept. 4 only, starting at $925 per night for a suite.
In Mill Valley:
Acqua Hotel: Rooms still available for the entire weekend, starting at $176 per night.
Holiday Inn Express: Rooms still available for Sept. 4 and Sept. 6 starting at $156 per night. Sold out Sept. 5.
Backup plan: Stay at a hotel near Fisherman's Wharf in San Francisco and take the Ferry to Sausalito.
