Note: We are sad to report that Sunday, October 5 will be the last day of operation for Wellington’s, at least for now, due to their landlord not renewing their lease.
We enjoy coming here and hope they find another Sausalito spot soon.

Wellington’s Wine Bar

Fast Forward SummaryTM:  Wellington’s Wine Bar offers wine flights starting at $12, and takes advantage of its position sharing a building with cooking school In the Kitchen (ITK) to offer food without having to develop their own menu or kitchen staff. Pleasant location at the water’s edge, next door to Salito’s Crab House and Bar Bocce on Bridgeway just north of downtown, and there’s a small deck area in back where you can sit outside on a nice day and sip wine while watching boats in the harbor. Inside there’s an inviting variety of tables, sofas, conversation corners etc. as well as a bar and a big-screen TV.  We like the prosciutto and the ham-and-cheese panini, and there’s a great cheese and sliced meats plate that’s perfect for sharing. We also like the pleasant, “not snooty” tone the staff projects when you ask questions about wine.

Something else that people should know about Wellington’s Wine Bar?  Are you upset that we don’t also have a Napoleon’s Wine Bar to offer equal time to his rival? Or is Wellington’s a perfect place to sit and look at the water, Lou?  Disagree with any of our suggestions?  Please leave a comment below so our readers get the full story.
