Spring Valley is a residential area in the hills of Sausalito north of the Caledonia neighborhood. At the edge of the Bay in this area lies the sourthern portion of the massive old Marinship Shipyards from World War II, now a mixed-use marine services and offices area. The big draw for visitors is the massive Bay Model.
For many locals the gateway to this area is known for its large covered bus stop, the 7-11 store, Fred's Coffee Shop and Saylor's, which are all clustered together near the corner of Bridgeway and Spring St. opposite the entrance to Marinship Way.
